Hosanna-Tabor Lutheran School
Mission Statement

Equip all children for spiritual and academic growth
through a Christ-centered education.

2008 - 2009 School theme

Who are we?

We are the Vikings!

What do we do?

Show courage for Jesus!

How do we do it?

We use the fruit of the Spirit to live by the Spirit!

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

gentleness and self-control.   Against such things there is no law.

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit."

Galatians  5:22-25

Mission Statement

We, the staff of Hosanna-Tabor Lutheran Church and School, will equip all students with the skills necessary for spiritual and academic growth through a Christ-centered education.

Hosanna-Tabor Lutheran School has a rich history of providing a loving Christian education for children and their families since 1955 at our current location.

We believe that a Christian education is a valuable asset to assist parents by reinforcing the biblical principals and standards that are being taught at home.  We also stand firm in the belief that our community benefits from children who are taught to uphold high values, ethics and morals.  Our staff serves as fine Christian role models who integrate their faith into all subjects.

We offer a core curriculum that focuses on providing students in grades K-8 with a solid background to prepare them for high school and beyond.  Our core classes consist of religion, math, science, reading, English, social studies, physical education, spelling/vocabulary, art and music.  Our students in our preschool program are guided through creative play, thematic units and multi-sensory activities.

After school care for students is provided in our Extended Enrichment Program.

Our current strengths as noted in our re-accreditation visit are our warm, friendly environment along with our reading and language arts program.  Our teachers are caring and loving Christians who try to meet the needs of all students in our class.  We offer diverse opportunities and events for your child to grow.

If you are considering our school for your family, please take the time to explore our web-site and then call (313-937-2233) or email us with any questions and to arrange a personal tour of our facilities.
