Youth Ministry - Youth from 7th-12th grade are invited to attend meetings, outings, special events and projects throughout the year. Sunday School (3 year old - 6th grade) Sundays 10:45 am Youth Bible class Sundays 10:45 am Adult Bible Class Sundays 10:45 am Adult Bible Study Wednesdays 9:00 am Adult Instruction Class as scheduled Youth Confirmation (7th-8th grade) Class Vacation Bible School Christian day school (Pre-K through 8th grade)
Musical Opportunities Handbell choir - Men and women, high school age and adults. The choir practices once a week on Thursdays at 6:15. The handbell choir will perform to the glory of our Lord two Sundays a month and at some special services. Choralis choir - Special occasion choir that sings for Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter. Open to high school and adult men and women.
Worship Assistance Acolytes - 7th and 8th grade boys and girls that assist the pastors during worship services. Chancel guild - Congregation members who care for the altar, chancel, flowers and vestments. Church banners - a group that designs and creates banners for the church year and special occasions. Greeters - Volunteer greeters meet worshippers in the narthex area to assist visitors and members as well as to let them know that we are friendly church. Lay readers - Men, women, girls and boys who volunteer to read from God's word (the Epistle and Old Testament lessons) during worship services. Ushers - Men, women, and confirmed youth assist during worship by keeping good order and dignity.
Fellowship opportunities Jubilee group - Senior age fun and fellowship both at the church and on outings. Meets every third Tuesday at 11:30am. Men's Golf - Summer golf league formed by men of Hosanna-Tabor Social ministry and Fellowship - activities planned to help our members grow closer to each other and the Lord.
Other Opportunities to Serve Our Lord Congregational Voters Assembly - Open to all communicant members of our congregation, age 18 and older. Annual meeting in January, Professional staffing and Election of Church Officers in May, Budget & Work Program in October. Finance Committee - Couples or singles who count contributions. Ladies Christian Fellowship & Lutheran Women's Missionary League - Service and fellowship for all women of our congregation. Lutheran World Relief Quilting - Quilt making one Thursday a month from 9:30am to 2 pm, or anytime during those hours. Take home work also available. Lutheran Luncheon Club of Metro Detroit - First Wednesday of each month, men meet at 10:30am and carpool to Historic Trinity, Detroit, for lunch and a program with a speaker. Parent-Teacher League - For school families and those interested in the school, activities, fundraising, and guest speakers. There are many opportunities to be involved. Market Day - monthly convenience food purchasing program that is a fundraiser for our school. Help is needed on the first Monday of the month from 3pm-6pm.
