Meet the Pastor
Paul J. Undlin was born on July 30, 1970 in Seattle, WA. He was baptized into the Christian faith in August of the same year. Paul was confirmed in May of 1984 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Federal Way, WA. In 1986, Paul and his family formed part of the core group of members in a mission plant in Federal Way called Light of Christ Lutheran Church. He graduated from Decatur High School in 1988, and earned his Associate of Arts degree from Green River Community College in 1992 and his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Washington in 1994.
Paul’s first career was in sales, with the longest period spent at Enterprise Rent-a-Car. While with Enterprise, Paul won the salesman of the month award 7 times in 13 months.
Paul and Jennifer (nee Poulter) met in 1989, and were married on March 27, 1993 at Light of Christ Lutheran Church. God has richly blessed them with three children, Alex, Joshua and Sophie. Jennifer’s training is as a medical assistant and her most recent employment was with Midwest Gastroenterology in St. Louis. Jennifer is currently enrolled in the nursing program at Eastern Michigan University.
Paul enrolled at Concordia Seminary - St. Louis, in September of 2003. He served his field education at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Brentwood, MO. Paul’s vicarage was served at Lutheran Senior Services – Laclede Groves, in St. Louis, where Paul served as a Chaplain and also earned 5 units of Clinical Pastoral Education training. On April 22, 2008, Paul received his divine call as Senior Pastor at Hosanna-Tabor Lutheran Church. Paul received his Master of Divinity degree on May 16, 2008.
